Frequently Asked Questions

Last updated: June 8, 2026

Welcome to the MemFetcher Help & FAQ page. Here you'll find answers to commonly asked questions about memory usage, limits, and how our service operates.

1. Memory Creation & Monthly Usage

How is my monthly memory usage calculated?

Your monthly usage is calculated based on the number of new memories ("Mems") you create (by uploading images or entering details) in a given calendar month.

Every time you upload a receipt, tags, or a device specification image to add a new Mem, it counts as one memory created. Re-processing an existing memory or editing its factors does not count towards your monthly limit.

When does my monthly memory usage limit reset?

Your memory usage counter resets automatically at 00:00 UTC on the first day of every calendar month.

Example: If you are on the Free tier and have created 10 mems in June, your limit will automatically reset back to 0 on July 1st, allowing you to create another 10 mems.

2. Reminder Limits

How are reminder limits calculated?

Unlike memories, reminder limits are calculated on a concurrency (total active count) basis, rather than a monthly creation limit. The system counts the total number of active and confirmed reminders currently stored in your account.

How can I reset or free up my reminder limit?

Because reminder limits do not reset monthly, you can free up slots under your limit in two ways:

3. Subscription Tiers & Limits

What are the limits for each plan?

4. Data & Image Retention

What is image retention and does it affect my data?

For users on the Free tier, raw uploaded images are retained for 365 days from the creation date. After 1 year, the raw images are removed to save storage. However, the extracted text details, technical factors, and metadata of your Mem remain in your account forever. Paid tiers enjoy permanent raw image storage retention.
